Our brave warrior Srishti who is 22 years old hails from one of the greenest cities and the capital of Madhya Pradesh Bhopal which lies in the central region of India. Bhopali paan is one of the main attractions, and Poha Jalebi from Kalyan Singh’s Swaad Bhandaar is a must-have delicacy.
Srishti takes a keen interest in reading novels. They act like Hogwarts Express that takes you to the fictitious world that the authors create for readers to weave through. She shares a special bond with her brother and has become a partner in crime.
Srishti was close to her family members. She was the youngest of 2 other siblings. She always tagged along with her brothers to play outdoor games and enjoy them to the fullest. She relished the privilege of being the youngest among all her siblings. She was the most pampered and loved one.
Destiny called her for a transition now, she had gotten into IIM Udaipur and had to move to a new place. Separating from our family is not easy, but we have to leave our nests one day so that we learn to fly high.
When Srishti enrolled in IIM to fulfil her ambition, she left behind her loving family. We undergo a process at each stage of our lives. We begin by crawling and learning to walk, we go to school and then to college to educate ourselves. Amid these stages, we try to understand life.
It took some time to settle and soak in the new surroundings. It was a new beginning for her. Some life incidents happen for good reason and some leave you with life lessons. The winds from the past troubled her instigating random thoughts which stuck with her for a very long time.
“I came across different kinds of people. I started to see someone and it was my first ever relationship.”
The relationship Srishti was in was not fruitful and she wanted to get out of the relationship.
Meanwhile, Srishti mentions how difficult it was with the never-ending competition once you get into IIM to keep pushing and perform well in exams too. The final year of college was stressful as it was time for the placements. She used to get stressed even with little inconveniences.
“I was entangled in the loop of thoughts, and I used to get anxious. It persisted until I chose to take some action.”
Post her ill relationship, Srishti was determined about what she looked for in a romantic partner. She understood sooner or later that, she needs to maintain a certain level of boundaries with the people she meets from now onwards.
Srishti is glad that her college has partnered up with YourDOST to provide counseling services to college students and address the issue of mental health.
“It was handy for me to avail facilities of YourDOST because of my college and I thought of giving it a try. I connected with Ms. Anagha Madhusudan to begin my therapy sessions.”
Ms Anagha Madhusudan was of great help to her. She suggested some techniques like penning down her emotions. In addition to that, her counselor also recommended writing down things which she wanted to do but couldn’t do it. She was able to follow the rest of the exercises and techniques.
Srishti mentions the breathing exercises were of great help when she was anxious. She was slowly and gradually making progress towards her transformation. She is thankful to Anagha from the bottom of her heart for helping her through her tough times and opening a new realm of possibilities.
The change was bound to come and she embraced each one to the fullest. Anxiety levels had drastically reduced. It was a turnaround for her.
“I’m enjoying the new change, I have become calm and less anxious. I’m happier than ever. Now I have clarity of what I want in life, the picture looks much more clear now.”
Srishti rates herself a solid 4 out of 5 in terms of getting better. Srishti has come a long way and has become a better version of herself.
Srishti’s Warrior Tips:
1.“Always work on yourself and know about yourself. It is the best way to know what you want in life and what kind of person you are.”
2.“Learn to express your emotions well. It is crucial to communicate and let others know what we feel in certain situations.”
